Tu byla dívka, skleslý květ,
vysoká věž to její past.
Ráda snila, kam ved‘ by svět,
když skok by vzal ji nad propast.

A tu byl vlk, zlá bestie,
hlad ho žene do činu.
Když vidí ji, chuť neskryje
na její sladkou mršinu.

Děvče padá smrti vstříc
a pod věží vlk zavrčí.
Však jejich srdce duní víc,
když skončí spolu v náručí.
